This sector includes government department and agencies, education, health and social services networks and municipalities. The government adopted a greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target to be reached by 2022-2023 and another target for the various real estate of the institutional players to be reached by 2029-2030. For the entire province of Quebec, the reduction target is 37.5% below the 1990 level and must be reached by 2030. The potential is great and the objective is ambitious, but quite realistic if the efforts are concerted.
