Good news in energy efficiency subsidies from Énergir

The Hassan II Mosque Fondation, Casablanca, Marocco

To encourage its customers to consume less and in a better way, Énergir launched several incentives in its energy efficiency programs at the end of the year 2019.

In fact, more projects will be eligible for the solar preheating subsidy. The grants to carry out a feasibility study to determine the possibilities to improve the energy efficiency of a building or a process have also been increased from $ 5,000 to $ 25,000.00 and the maximum grant for the refining of a building’s mechanical systems was increased to $ 100,000.

Énergir business customers will also be able to benefit from a $ 100 subsidy for the installation of a smart thermometer on a central heating system and, for its part, the calculation of the renovation subsidy will be greatly simplified.

All these improvements will allow Énergir to support their customers in reducing their energy consumption and to actively participate in achieving the ambitious greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets that the Quebec province has set for itself.
