Business development manager
The Position We’re Offering
The person in this role will be responsible for identifying profitable energy efficiency project opportunities, primarily in the private industrial sector.
Your main tasks will include:
- Identifying and prospecting new clients
- Analyzing and interpreting energy consumption data
- Understanding client needs and challenges to propose tailored solutions
- Conducting preliminary studies to support project sales
- Preparing and presenting service proposals
- Negotiating strategic partnerships
- Creating presentations and commercial documents
Your Profile
You’re an engineer passionate about energy efficiency, driven by innovative projects, and motivated by the idea of making a tangible impact on the energy transition. You enjoy taking on challenges, working in a dynamic company, and actively contributing to the team’s achievements.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development
- Excellent communication skills
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Experience in energy efficiency
- Excellent command of spoken and written French (English is an asset)
- Ability to close beneficial deals while maintaining trust-based relationships
- Talent for developing new clients
- Ability to highlight the technical and financial benefits of projects
- Motivation to achieve sales and growth targets
- Autonomy, organizational skills, attention to detail, quality-driven, and comfortable collaborating with the technical team
